Session 1 Essentials
In this session Guy shows you how to move away from the traditional tools of Photoshop and build your own better tools for Retouching your images. Guy shows you his techniques for Dodge, Burn, HDR High Dynamic Range and changing the lighting of the image. Learn how to process your images with speed, style and creative in Guy totally non destructive process.
Session 2 Masks - Channels and Layers
Guy explains how Channels and Layers can be combined using channels as masks for the layers and improving every image you retouch. Guy details how to build an Alpha Channel and Layer combination to achieve the effect you want to create. Go beyond Photoshop and see the difference between selections and Alpha channels. See how Guy uses Channels to add depth of field to a cutout, how to use the pen tool, and how using channels bring speed and accuracy to the way you work.
Session 3 Cosmetic Techniques
Guy gives you an overview of his solutions to the many techniques that are a prerequisite for good commercial images. Lines and wrinkle removal, teeth whitening, skin smoothing, adding make up, changing colours of objects, brightening eyes, adding dimension to lips etc are all must do techniques for today’s photographer. Guy also uses this session to demonstrate his amazing new post production digital reflector which has a massive impact on brightening problem dark areas in images.
Session 4 Mastering Monochromatic
Understanding the scientific process is essential to creating intuitive, predictable Black and White image. Guy shows you his faultless Mono conversion method and demonstrates how to create a colour toning and sepia effect. He then teaches his unique film grain technique which brings a very natural organic quality to your images.
