By attending Guy Gowan's Process Workflow you will learn how to see past the tools and menus within Adobe Photoshop.

Guy will demonstrate his technique which enables you to adjust and edit images including raw files with speed and accuracy. Guy's workflow will save you minutes, hours, days or even weeks of your life from the mindless repetition of the conventional post production manipulation process.

Session 1 Back to Basics
Guy proves that some common PS working practices can be significantly improved and refined. Guy explains his theory for Safe Auto Levels, Non Destructive Advanced Contrast Colour Correction and Advanced sharpening. By applying Guy’s theories to these four basic PS basics you will see how you can enhance your work practices and dramatically improve your work standards

Session 2 Understanding the Process
Guy teaches you to build his Process Workflow that takes your initial image from a RAW file to a final Tif/Jpeg image. Guy’s workflow is built around a multilayered Psd file or intermediate file which can then be enhanced. Creating Guy’s automated process makes your computer do the work for you! Understanding Guy’s Process Workflow, using droplets and actions to control the Psd file makes you look at PS editing and RAW file editing in a completely different way. Guy’s fully automated incredibly flexible workflow will massively increase your post production workflow while maintaing the ultimate quality of your images.

Session 3 Shoot to Print
Looking at alternative ways of shooting your images. Now that you have Guy’s incredibly flexible post production Process Workflow you can change the way you shoot to help reduce the variables in exposure, colour temperature etc. Understanding the possibilities of the technology we use to shoot and the manner in which you shoot on input can significantly affect the flexibility you have with your image on output.

Session 4 HDR High Dynamic Range
Using all of the techniques learned in the earlier sessions Guy teaches you his user friendly, practical work process for shooting High Dynamic Range images. Learn to shoot ultimate quality HDR with just one image. Understanding the earlier sessions of Back to Basics, Building the Process and Shoot to print now culminates into using High Dynamic Range not as a once in a blue moon special effect- HDR is now accessible and achievable for every image you shoot!
