Guy Gowan is recognised as the creative industry’s leading authority on Digital Retouching and has manipulated images since the first digital scanning devices were developed. He has amassed a wealth of experience during his 25 years working at the cutting edge of technology in the creative industry around the globe. Guy’s seminars are a must see event and he is valued for his unique vision as both an independent and appointed (Apple, Adobe,Wacom,Xrite) consultant.

Pre Process Workflow

Digital cameras today are technically amazing but they have limitations. Instead of trying to 'Retouch' these characteristics out of images on a one by one basis - why not process them out with an action and droplet combination?
In this seminar Guy demonstrates his workflow which enables you to adjust and edit images including raw files with speed and accuracy. This will save you minutes, hours, days or even weeks of your life from the mindless repetition of the conventional post production manipulation process.

Process Workflow

In this seminar seminar you will learn how to see past the tools and menus within Adobe Photoshop. Guy will teach you his popular Process Workflow technique which enables you to adjust and edit images including raw files with speed and accuracy. he teaches you how to apply Levels, Range, Contrast, Colour and Sharpening with insight and intuition giving you results you honestly never knew were possible.

Creative Retouching

Retouching is the art of being creative in the world of Digital Imaging. In this seminar you will learn how to go far beyond Adobe Photoshop and its conventional tool set. Guy teaches you how to make your own tools to produce stunning dodge and burn effects, create a post-production digital reflector and a wide range of beauty treatments.

Apple Aperture

Guy has used Apple Aperture since its release in 2005. yet to most photographers, Aperture is an application not to be taken seriously. Aperture is different and it is this difference which is its strength. In this seminar Guy starts from the ground up and guides you through the many options, library set-up and management choices. He also explores editing and publishing showing the incredible power of Aperture as a RAW file editor then Guy combines Apple Aperture and Adobe Photoshop to offer you the the ultimate solution.

Wedding Workflow

Guy teaches you how to use his Ultimate Wedding Workflow to create stunning signature Wedding Albums in a fraction of the time. Increase your productivity, improve quality and reduce your costs! You will learn how to produce fantastic albums for your clients, quickly but with style and creativity. Developing your own signature Album templates using Guy's guide to currently available software. This seminar which is very popular in Europe and overseas and has been added to our Toronto events due to local demand.

Look at what others say about Guy

I have watched the first 2 tutorials and am already certain that this is the best money I've ever spent.  I would consider it invaluable to any pro photographer.

The seminar was far more valuable in overall information  and content than I expected. I was not sure really what to expect but quickly realized that I was about to be immersed in ways to vastly improve my work with imaging and post production.
Rick Etkin

We really feel like our eyes were opened to the "real" way to use Photoshop.

"Revolutionary" is indeed the perfect word to describe the seminar experience! I sat in awe, along with all of the other attendees (the majority being professional photographers and graphic artists), at the unveiling of methods and techniques I never have been exposed to. From this day forward, I will be changing the way I create my images because I want to and because it simply feels "right" to do so, and because what I've been doing up to now suddenly feels very "wrong". That is the effect this man has had on me. It will take time for me to absorb and hopefully master these new methods and techniques, and it will be that much more difficult because of the necessary unlearning.

Guy Gowan's lectures are packed full of useful and powerful tips and techniques that will not only streamline your workflow but also give you better control and understanding of how you are manipulating your images. There are many ways to get things done in Photoshop but only a few of those are the right way and Guy certainly guides you on that path ! He talks about "for each penny dropped"  well for each of those pennies you can be certain you will be putting tonnes into your piggy bank

Thanks again for coming to Canada !
I found the seminar very worthwhile & I hope to see you both again soon. I would have liked to have spent some more time to pick Guy's brain & ask his advice about gaining experience & breaking in to this industry, etc. ... but when you're a rock star like Guy, there's always groupies around you!!

The seminars exceeded my expectations in all terms. The only disappointing thing that came out of these 2 days is the fact that you didn't come here years ago with this information. I am sure that if I get into the practice of doing what I was taught, you will be getting a thank you note from my wife.
